What do I need to know ahead of time if I wanted to have some fun at a car show? MECA for instance?

Recommended Posts

Always wanted to go to a show to meet some other bass heads but I'm clueless when it comes to these events. What can I expect? What should I bring?

I'm guessing I should find my peak frequencies and use those to compete? or are there musical runs? etc?

In north Florida if that matters.

Any info is appreciated! Cheers

They do burp classes and music classes...When you go up to the judges table you can tell them you're new to competing and they can help you obtain all that information bro

There’s an event in July I think I’m going to that’s the 20th or something in Jacksonville. I’ll ask em then

Find a local shop with a Termlab if you want to find your peak frequency before hand

Have fun. Don’t thinking of it as competition. Local events are “to me” testing tools for world Finals.

Listen to the judges and learn from them. Acquire points and have fun.

I have a little Bluetooth SSA meter to test it but probably not as accurate as a term lab

Yes. MECA. If you plan to chase points for world Finals.

The SSA meters are nice as shit and not far off from TL for being a cheaper alternative...You can find out your peak frequency with it
