Pelihagen
Hello! I've been doing some research on this, and it has gotten me a bit confused. I hope someone here can help me out with this question: I have two amplifiers strapped/bridged (Master & Slave). They have 2x12's subwoofers connected to them (2x2Ohm DVC) My amplifier(s) have a phase switch (0 and 180 degrees). In a strapped configuration, should the master be set to 0 degrees, and the slave be set to 180 degrees? I read this here on the forum, and also through watching a series of videos on YouTube. But I'm not 100% sure. Here is a video example: youtube.com/watch?v=koCqdDXTb3s As shown in the video, when two subs are strapped it doesn't mean they're in phase apparently. This got me worried that I might have my system hooked up wrong. Thank you in advance for any help, it's greatly appreciated. 🙂
Mike4068
Unless your particular amps specifically say that then no. My rockford amps stay at 0.
slowfkncar
The amp in slave config usually doesnt respond to the phase/gain/xover settings, that's what the slave/master switch is for.
Pelihagen
When my subs are playing, sometimes it looks like they're a bit out of sync, og like the other is getting more power than the other. But this is probably because 1 of my subs is closer to the port (port on right side). Good to know I don't have to worry about them being out of phase then, thanks for the help to both of you. 🙂
