wingstar
I have an MTX Audio TC712 sub and an MTX Audio MXS1204. The TC712 is 400w RMS, 1200w max and 4 ohm resistance. The MXS1204 is also 400w RMS, 800w max and 4 ohm resistance. Will I run into any issues if I upgrade from a 300w amp to an 800w or 1000w amp? wingstar
Would I have issues with a 1000w amp?
Mike4068
Probably not but there is no audible difference between 800 and 1000 watts.

I know there won't be an audible difference but one of my buddys said they might be able to give me a 1000w amp.
Mike4068
I wouldn't be worried about 100 extra watts to each sub. If they start stinking you can always turn the gain down just a bit.
