32Blew
Good day all. 2007 Monte Carlo SS 5.3L LS4, just ordered a 250A 128.5MM hairpin Singer ALT for my setup. How much smaller of a belt should I use, as I know sometime the pulley might be smaller on HO alts. Thanks. 2007 Monte Carlo SS, Kenwood DDN 9702S (2) JL Audio C2 650 6.5's with tweet (2) JL Audio C2 690TX 6x9's (2) 10" JL Audio W6's (1) Arc Audio XDi 600.4 (1) Zapco ST-2000XM II Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge, 4 gauge, 8, gauge, 12 gauge 250A Singer Alt. Joshdashef
Depending on the alternator some aftermarket ones are smaller or bigger than the oem (as in the pulley you’d attach the belt to.) If it’s smaller you need a smaller belt if it’s bigger you need a bigger belt goodluck sometimes it’s a pain in the ass to find the right one.... gatorback belts work good if you have a squealing issue SMD Tool Map (2022): https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/220267-smd-tool-map-2022/ My Port Size Calculator (in progress): https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/217087-port-size-calculator-in-progress/ Common Port Walls for a Slot Port: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/217076-common-port-walls-why-it-matters-to-your-box/?tab=comments#comment-3240313
