danielbea
My car has a stock 100a alt with big 3 upgrade I have a skar SKv2-2500.1D amp. that I need to power. I can get a Northstar bci 35 for starting and a second Northstar agm220 or Northstar 31. I was told by gpaudio that the agm220 and group 31 are similar. Or I can get the Northstar bci 35 and a 250a ho alt from Singer for about $100 more. I guess what I'm asking is that will I need a second battery with the ho alt regardless? If so I will do option #1 then buy the ho alt later after my bank account recovers.
Mike4068
That alt and battery will be fine for that amp.
Dragonsyph
Always upgrade the alt first is what iv always heard. Then go from there. An alt + a group 31 of you can fit it in the front. If it’s a battery for the back then get an Xp3000, it’s pretty much the same as d3100 but cheaper. As for needing 2 battery’s if you get the alt, I would say you could getaway with just one nice bat plus the alt for 2500 watts. ♦ Sundown NSV4 18" + Sundown SALT-4 Baby ♦ MechMan Elite 370a + XS3100 - XP3000 ♦ SHCA 1/0 OFC(blue) + SMD Fuse Holders(blue) ♦ Pioneer AVH-2440NEX + SHCA Pro RCA
