Thx M8! Nice looking box! I actually do quite a bit of wood work, at least when I have time to do it. And while my saw is really nothing special, I do have one of those Incra Ls fences.

I am just so busy all of  the time I didn't want to take time to cut it myself. In the end I realized I didn't have to buy anything else. I found all the tools I needed in my garage on the self. I think I am going to take a vacation day from my 1st job on Friday and start cutting. I might even cut a few quick pieces today on my lunch break. I will take some pictures as I go. Thanks for the encouragement :)

Not much time to work on it today. I did get 2 notches cut out in the front panel. I used my jig saw and a straight edge. I was going to use the table saw and a dado blade, but it was not a stable as I wanted it since it stuck up 36" off the saw. I need to make a taller fence to hold it steady. that will be a project for another time. I did manage to get it pretty square.

I have almost everything cut. I still have the top and two sides. I also have to cut a notch in 2 more panels. I also have to cut out the holes for the ports and the speakers. I should get that done tomorrow and start glueing it together. Here are the cut pieces so far.

Well I almost had a big oops! I knew the whole time I was going to need to figure out my internal bracing and cut that too. Some how even though I knew I needed to do that, it didn’t get translated to the front of my brain. I remembered it earlier. I had to mock something up and get some dimensions so I could cut it. I will have to cut that tomorrow too before I can start gluing it together. I was almost in trouble as I had to fit my bracing around my ports running down the center of my box. I’ll post more pictures tomorrow.

here is a rough mock up of the box.

Well I worked on the box today. Unfortunately I didn’t get to the glue stage yet. I have all of the boards cut, except the cut outs in the front baffle.

If I would have made the braces a higher priority I wouldn’t have had to have so many small parts. Oh well.

I underestimated the time to cut all of these holes. Took a while longer than I was expecting.

The port holes fit the 6” pvc perfectly.

however I hit a snag. Easy to fix but I ran out of time.

I need to make the hole about 1/8” larger. Sub doesn’t fit.

I just roundover the top edge maybe 3/8" and it usually drops right in.

I thought about doing that, but I don’t think it will be quite enough. I did double check my hole and it is to the manufacture specs, but it is off about 1/8” I think looking at it again. I’ll just rabbet it out
