Justin.Obs
I dont have much knowledge of car audio but I installed new 4x6s and an amplifier inside my 1994 chevy silverado. I ran new wire because of the age of the truck and thin gauge. After I ran the new wires they are connected from the speakers directly to the amp. Is that right, or do I have to run the wires to the harness? I'm not sure. I might just be doubting myself.
SkarredSierra
Your good man. Wire strait from the amp to the speaker. Rcas go from headunit to amp. Thats where your sound input signal comes from. Only use for the harness now is to power the headunit. Make sure you tape off or use heat shrink to seal off the old speaker wires to avoid any shorts. Justin.Obs
Perfect. All old connections are heat shrinks. Thanks man.
