subwoofer decisions

right now i have 2 12" crossfire c3s in a ported box but after about 9 months having them im starting to miss having my trunk space.im thinking of doing 1 12"c5 since my amp is the skar 750 i cant just re use it..but how much am i gonna loose going from 2 12" to 1 12".c3s are 400rms and c5 is 800 rms.. i know im loosing cone  area but ive heard really good thing about the c5..or if anybody suggest a single 12 around 800 wats ill check it out..thanks

Nice wiring job. Takes some time & $ but sure is worth it IMO. AMPS should always match unless hidden & unseen. I like your OCD-ness sir. lol  I have a touch of it too.

SQ 2250.1 running 2 SQ HDS310's @ 1 ohm for subs firing into cabin.  A SQ 900.1 running 2 RF P3Sd4 8" in the kick panels for mid-bass. Mids & Highs under the front seats.

More cone area wins almost every time! Build a new box for space, buy a driver that matches your amps output. Or go bigger on power and a driver. Figure that step out before buying or building. I went from 1 12" on 1k to 2 10'2 on 2k in my Lancer. Upgraded Malibu with a RF T1500.1 on a RF T1D2 12" in a joe x designed box. Good thing it is a SQ build, hard to beat 2 10's in a small cab. So unless you do some major improving the loss will be very noticeable, pretty half of the spl you have now.
