Joshdashef
Looking at buying another DC 2k to run my Fi SP4 v2+ 15 Dual 1 ohm. - Now I read through DC's manual and have a couple questions. - DC amps don't generally like seeing below 1 ohm, now if I strap them at 2 ohms each amp will see 1 ohm. 1. Knowing this: Do I wire my subwoofer any differently? As in, would I wire my subwoofer in parallel for a 0.5 nominal load or in series for a 2 nominal load? - Leaning towards wiring in series as that would get me to 2 ohms at the subwoofer, and 2 ohms at both amps (and finally 1 ohm at each amp). Is this correct? 2. Also what kind of RCA do you guys recommend for the single channel run between the two amps? Most come only in a 2 channel pairing. reedal
https://knowledge.sonicelectronix.com/how-to-strap-two-amps-together-double-your-power/ The remaining #1 voice coil negative and #2 voice coil positive need a jumper between them. That will put you in series for a 2ohm final. As far as the strapping RCA, I believe Sky High offers a single RCA option for strapping, but I haven't looked at their site for a long time SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=
