HO Alternator size for 1,800 watts in 02 Tahoe Please!!

Recommended Posts

Need help please!  I have 2 Pioneer amps, one 1-Channel at 1,200 RMS and a 4-Channel at 600 RMS (1,800 total RMS/3,800 Peak) in an 02 Tahoe with a 130 amp alternator.  I did a Big 3 upgrade and really just need to know how big of an alternator I need.  I have seen 3 or 4 different formulas online and 1,000 opinions so I am now completely confused and frustrated. Can someone just tell me what I need?

I run a DC 2k and a Rockford 600x4 with a 240a alternator and two AGMs about 110 ah. rest 14.2, dipping to 13.8 usually unless I'm going full tilt then it dips to 13.3/4s.

anything over 200 would be good. 300 great.
