Steve7384
I have sundown x12 v2 dual 4ohm wired to 2 ohms in a 2.5 cft box built to spec. Powering it is a kicker kxa 1600.1 rms @2 ohms . Gain is almost all the way down and there’s no clipping or distortion..... set it low to break subwoofer in for a week or two and then set accordingly with a SMD. when I play at low volume I hear a rattle noise from woofer not knocking ..... is there a possibility that back of subwoofer is vibration against the box . There is supports inside for sub that’s why I’m questioning it . Also haven’t cranked on woofer yet I’ve been going easy on it here’s a look at inside of box Edited February 2, 2020 by Steve7384 Added content
Dragonsyph
Could it be the amp sending a dirty signal? Dragonsyph
Aww ok, not sure what it could be. I have had two amps go out and before they did they were sending a dirty signal that made the sub sound like it was rattling at low volume. Hope you figure it out because that shit is annoying. AaronT
If that bracing isn't fitting tight against that subwoofer definitely going to cause rattles try adding some weather stripping around the contact points where the woofer meets the bracing use the thick foam stuff and let it smash with the weight of the subwoofer
