159.72dB outlaw @34hz - no-wall - OBS Suburban - 6 Crossfire XT3 15s - Crossfire 16k @ .35

Recommended Posts

Hey, all!  My 2003 Montero with the 4 12s 6th has moved on to a different owner, and now I'm about to start on my next project: my 1993 Suburban.  Aiming for a fun no-wall setup that does mid-high 150s and sits 5 comfortably for cruising fun.

Equipment:

4-6 Crossfire XT3 15s (Not sure on number yet; may let a buddy borrow a couple of subs)

1 B2 M1U for now

65ah Cmax bank

1 Iraggi 320a alt

1 Mechman 300a alt

Few runs of OFC 1/0

I need to repair some damage the previous no-wall did first, then vibraflex a bunch of stuff and it's time to build the box.  Stay tuned!

The battery fits just perfectly under the back seat.  It will be cased a little differently soon.  Also, check the surfboard and the 3 10" versatunes from BigAss Ports.

I'd be shocked if it got anywhere close on only 10kw lol.  Goals are well over 155dB while fitting 5 and being super musical :)

If I run all 6 subs, I'm gonna want some more port.  Just did a quick sketch, and I may be able to fit 4 10" aeros on the rear face of the box...  Welp.  Might need to order another port and fuckin' send it.

24 ft^3 net, 34.6hz tuning with all 4 10" aeros at full 22" length :)

I might have designed my final box for this thing.  Sheesh.

I started cleaning out the back of the truck in preparation for tons of vibraflex/foam/wood.  Took the old MDF false floor out, took out the rear AC, and removed the moldy old carpet.  I'm planning on laying down a layer of 1/2" ply for the new false floor (will probably clean everything really well and glue the wood down with PLX). I'm also planning on filling the rear quarter panels with foam, laying vibraflex down, and then probably reinforcing the sides with wood as well.  Of course, I have to get the damage from the last no-wall in this thing welded up first.
