Need a new amp, suggestions? Advice?

So my buddy wants to buy my ppi ice 7000.1d because it's .5 ohm stable and I can't find him a good amp to give the power he wants at 2ohm and only other one at .5 ohm is a refurb soundstream t1-6000.1 and I won't trust one. He bought my old subs ( 4 hds2.108s) and they have been at .5 ohms on my ppi daily for about a year so the amp is stable asf daily at .5 for sure. So whole idea is what amp is going to be best bet for me to use for my 3 AB TNT 15s ( wired at .67ohms) ? Figure any good 1ohm amp will be fine with .67 initial load and be very happy after rise. Price range I'm looking is up to about $275 max. Only thing I'm really seeing ( 3k range, quite a few in 2k range but subs rms 1500 each) is taramps and stetsom, but I'm kind of scared of em, not on any factual basis but still can't believe that much power from such a small light case really. Any of the vfl amps look nice but really none seem to put out rated power. Anyone have any suggestions? I know used would be best way to go and I'm good with that too but what should I be looking for?

That's what I was worried about, probably just keep my amp and get him something that's 2-3k at 2 ohms.  Taramps Md3000.1 would fit the bill but it's a full range amp and he's hard on his stuff , can I trust one of these to NOT catch fire ?

I have heard they can catch fire. I think it happening are a lot more rare then some people would have you believe. To this day I have only personally had one amp catch fire and it was a RF punch amp. Rockford makes great amps and I doubt many people have ever had one catch fire. I did though had to through snow in the car to put it out. Glad I had that available or it could have been really bad. I am considering a Taramps for the Yukon with the VFL subs. Might do another Synergy though.

I was drooling over ur synergy and had to look em up but can't out that much cash down on an amp rite now, especially since mine is solid and I'd be doing a buddy a favor selling it to him, gonna let him have the fire hazard lmao...how about running a full range amp for subs tho? I know they make a bass 3k but haven't looked up the differences yet.

Beggars can't be choosers. :) I would think Full range would be fine as long as he has the xover set. I know there are a few reasons why full range amps are not the best choice for subs, but I would think it would be ok.  Have you seen that taramps smart 3k? I was looking at it as an option too.

Now I'm starting to look at amps as an upgrade to my setup lol...I need like 5k but I either have .67 or 2.67 that's about rms on my subs. Haven't even built my box for my subs yet and I'm already wanting more power lmao.

LOL you sound like me. I know my Synergy will put out over 3k at .5 I would bet that the WFO 3.1D would do it easy. It is more money though. Big D tests it @.8 on the dyno and it does 6733 watts.  Dyno is different than speakers, but you know that already. :)  I want one, and I want on of their 5K amps, and I don't even have anything to hook it up to :)

I have the small WFO 2.1D It puts out way more than my subs are rated. I am keeping the gain down a little on it, but it is a great Amp. All of this makes me wish I could do a big build again. 6-8 12"s like the old days. I would have to buy an SUV or something just for this purpose. And before I spent money on that, I would just Quit my 2nd job so I could have more time for what is important. Not working 16 hours a day.

I should also mention, I got mine from Tyler at GP car audio. I got it for around $320 Because he felt sorry for me and wanted to give me a good deal. I had purchased an DB AAK 2.1D from him and waited 3 months and still no delivery date was known. He gave me a good deal on the Synergy and after talking to the owner Curt for some time about their stuff, I went with it. I am glad I did. Don't get me wrong I like the DB amps. but they still have not come in yet and it has been almost 3 more months.
