ehall8702
Want to know what differences there are between these two amps. Reason is I either have a .67 or a 2.67 initial load and have read the taramps don't like lower impedance than they are rated for. The bass 5k is 1 ohm and the MD 5000.1 comes in 1 ohm and 2 ohm version. There is a dedicated subsonic on the bass 5k but I was reading the MD has both a hpf and lpf which u can use the hpf as the subsonic and the lpf normally at the same time. I see alot of videos of ppl running the MD on subs so I'd assume it would be fine? The bass 5k has bass boost and all that shit I don't use anyways , and the MD is like $50 less ( maybe because no bass boost ?). Anyone have any if these amps and can shed some light on my dilemma before I order one of them? 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. Baydestrian
Bass is dedicated subwoofer amp...MD is a full range amp which is why it has the HPF....I ran the MD5K for a while, switched to a Wolfram 3K. Much happier overall, lows are so much better along with quality of the bass. 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical
