I had a single xfl 12 on 2k and it just ate it and kept going. 8k is kinda much but then u have headroom for rise and you don't have to set gains too high either, I'm relying on the fact that after rise I'll be up around 4 ohms and the amp won't draw crazy current to give my subs rms and a few. I was scared to get a taramps really, only hearsay about bad shit but have heard alot of positive stuff and seem good results so I figured I'd jump on it. ehall8702
I just noticed the 440x4 has some weird speaker outputs, like the left negative and right positive share a terminal? Never seen anything like that before , maybe I'll buy 2 2 channels instead, bigger for my 4 pioneer pro 6.5s and a smaller for the 2 pro 4" tweeters....... edit, nm will not be running any if thier amps for my doors, all of em have that weird output configuration, that in itself would bother me more than not matching amps. How can there be stereo seperation with shared terminals between the channels? 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. ehall8702
Wire and terminals on the way finally. ehall8702
So basically I have 1.5/0 lol...2/0 welding will carry 450 amp so I'm sure 3/0 is close to that and I'll be running a second run as soon as I can afford it. Should be plenty to support the MD 8000 and 1 or 2 smaller amps for mids and highs 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. AaronT
You basically have sky High 1/0 with with coarser strands that's going to be nowhere near as flexible it's going to put a little more on all your fittings you better get yourself a hydraulic crimper Solder works. just hit your terminals up upside down fill them with solder than while it's still hot jam your cable into it

I'm pretty good at soldering, since its all copper it'll be no problem, unlike the cca shit. Coarser strands won't be an issue since I'll be running it along my frame rail , already have some double wire hold-downs. Won't be any hard bends since it'll only have to really bend once from frame then through into the cab.i have some screw in plastic things that hold wire and keep from chaffing on metal( forgot name of em but have a bag of em from a trailer I built for my old job site arc welder). I'll be running a second run soon, so should be solid wire for a LONG time. Wire is super resistant to chemicals and oils. 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears.
