3 AB TNT 15 on Taramps md 8000.1 2ohm box

UCareful with them on 8k. I feel they are only 800 rms.ab is local to me. Ab headquarters is a 2 90 minute drive. So naturally tons of local dealers Push ab gear. More people run ab in my area than anything else. The TNT is one that gets iffy when people think it's going to take air more than rated power for sustained periods

 

They will never in a month of Sundays take 8k

They are the new tnts , 1500 rms, 3k max, wired at 2.67 ohms, after rise (about 4 I'm guessing ) they will be getting about 5-6k and I'm pretty sure they will handle that no issues. My xfl took double rated power for the year and a half I had it and still going on same setup almost a year after I sold em. Like I said I doubt it'll be full tilt very often or for long but I'd imagine they will take 500 watts over rated each with no issues. I'm more worried about airspace, they call for 2.5-3 cubes each but my xfl liked 3 cubes when it called for 2.25 ( I think from memory). I'm more concerned about hitting physical excursion limits of sub honestly. I have emailed American bass and have gotten no answer about my situation, keep forgetting to call and talk to someone about it.

All done by me. stereo is Pioneer avh 600ex, all stinger rca, jp23 v1.5, skar rp150.4, and hertz hpd4. 2 SHCA 6.5 8ohm, 1 SHCA 3.5", and 1 DS18 tw120pro in each door. The 3.5 mid and 3.5" tweeters are powered by the skar rp150.4, the 6.5s are powered by the hertz bridged @4 ohms. Dual runs   of 3/0 welding cable, 300a alternator, 2 Vmax AGMs up front. current sub is a AB XR 12 ( dual 2 ohm) with bottom spider cut out in 2.25 cubes at 32hz

Just over 5k @4 ohms so I think I'll be all good? No real way to know how much rise I'll have but I'll be over 2 ohms from initial so they will NEVER see 8k lol . That was my reason for going with the 8k vs the 5k, I wanna push these things to thier full potential and if I cook em I'll be replacing them with sum xfls or hds probably.

I actually bought the tnts to replace my 4 hds2.108s , never intended on an amp upgrade lol...from 3kto 8k is a huge jump. Gonna keep amp way turned down regardless, thanks for the heads up.

Finally got to order my amp, wire is in a few days since the ol lady saw I had a wad of cash in my wallet and "needed" $150 lol.

Yeah, saw that, wanted overhead tho. If I pop em I'll be putting xfls or something in later. After rise I figure il be at about 4 ohms and Amos outs down 5k at 4 ohms and rms is 4500 for the 3 subs so seems a good match. And isn't a HUGE drain on electrical at 4 ohm either so will be much more efficient. I got two flooded batteries and a 250a alt rite now so it'll help out on that too...not tooich draw on weak shit. Can still beat and work in more upgrades at same time.
