It’s just cheaply made and the company has shady people that smile in your face and then sneer and plot behind your back. Kinda like that phone call where Jordan was nice all the time. Do you think the devil is gonna be talking sideways to you and sneering at you or kill you with a smile then do the b.s. in the shadows? Point exactly. Jordan tried to be a smart as to me and wish me good health after he was unhelpful and condescending and then I told him the truth and it hurt his emotions and he began to insult like a professional genius and do so with hard to detect sarcasm. Kinda like some snake stuff. Their most expensive line of amplifiers are not half bad because they have Korean boards and only assembled in China instead of all their other cheap made all made and assembled in China products. But their product is not all the way a bad product. It’s ok. Not bad for the price, but is cheaply made and not my cup of tea. But what makes me and many more not want to do business with them or run their products is the people that are part of that company. And I wasn’t irate or entitled when I sent him messages. I never called. I was firm in my messages because I ordered a subwoofer over the phone and then they just wanted an email to send a confirmation to and tracking information and after that I get a news letter almost every day even the day the subwoofer gave out. That happened like 6 months ago and I’ve been getting emails ever since and then I messaged them like a week or 2 ago and told them to stop emailing me. I did so politely and cordial like a saint. Then they kept emailing me every day and then the other day I said “please stop emailing me and cease from contacting me” and by saying that I made a legal binding. Then I said “if I receive another message or email then it will be harassment which is a class c misdemeanor and I will sue for emotional suffering and distress”. I was firm and professional cause I had enough of being ignored. That got them to answer. Then dude was messaging me all condescending. Then finally I snapped and told him the truth and his panties got in a wad. Nothing was personal and no harm no foul until he wished me good health under the circumstances. I may have been wrong for being too firm and not looking hard enough at the newsletters to see the unsubscribe button. But I never insulted him or disrespected him or belittled him. I may have told him what I thought of Kevin and bad mouthed Skar as a company. People aren’t perfect and we all make mistakes. But that dude, Jordan, made no mistake and sarcastically wished coronavirus on me personally which was disrespectful, snide and many more evil. Screw him and Skar. He was deemed innocent until then. Maybe if he makes the right decisions down that path he is now on then he will no longer be alone and be lead towards a better path. But whatever. It is pricey though. Some say overrated. But tomatoes tomautoes. I think their older stuff was better at the time because they weren’t as mainstream and focused more but even now their mainstream their product is still a good product but my opinion is their roots were better. I was always stuck between DD and Sundown when I was younger and watching subwoofer porn but i went with Sundown after the dd9500G went to H. Still, DD is a good company. But I thought you are trying to get a good price on a system? I was hoping to come up with something for a good price like that Skar deal but from everything I’ve heard back and forth I think I might just go to my local shop And buy from them, their main line is DD. Plus the shop will stand behind their work and DD will stand behind their product. You can’t go wrong. The only gripe is that you will spend a lot of money. I’m familiar with DD as well. What kind of sound are you into. Are you more bent on sound quality or sound pressure bass? Pick one, not middle. That’s the best bet and for them to build you an enclosure it will be around $350. You will be very happy with the sound and performance. You will just say awe man a couple of times before you reach for your wallet. But go that route and muffle our the awe mans and go with it. Just my opinion but alot of them will overcharge you for gear and wont use essential equipment when either installing equipment or designing an enclosure. They wont properly set your gains using a dd1 or oscope. They wont use the proper software for box design. Some might but most wont. Ive been on this site for years and the amount of people ive seen have issues after allowing a shop to either install or even mess with their install is staggering. Picking a good shop means asking questions to make sure they know their shit. Wich requires you to know. Best to do it yourself honestly. The boxes skar makes are good quality and specs for prefab boxes and should do fine as long as they fit your vehicle. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You just told him to spend $1200 dollars when he’s looking for budget bass, that’s why you don’t see a lot of DD here , would it sound great sure but you think there would be a huge noticeable difference I don’t, I’m not bashing DD I’m running 3 of there SL line 10’s and couldn’t be happier but they were $350 a piece. 2022 Ford Maverick on 22’s Skar SK1500.1 on 4 Skar VD-8’s Mids Sundown Super tweeters, Skar TX 6.5 components on Skar SKM400.4 LC2 for audio control , XS Power D680 XS Series Extra Battery Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
