Audio Dynamics ADDSP46

Recommended Posts

Hey there guys, I was curious if anyone here has messed around with the new Audio Dynamics DSP yet?  I looking to build an active three way setup for my suburban with AD Components. The only thing that was confusing to me according to the Audio Dynamics website are the inputs? There are only two rca inputs? I have access to a four and six channel amp not sure how to make the proper connections. Any ideas?

I looked at them as well, 2 RCA inputs or 4 speaker level inputs, so if you use RCA you get a Left and Right input no fade control (who uses that anymore) you can have 6 RCA outputs to do whatever you want to with. You can run 6 channels of subs, midbass, midrange, or tweeters or any combination you want. each channel does what you program it to do. Also does each channel level control and timing. More than a plenty in the EQ as well. 4v outputs

For anyone who happens to read this thread in the future, be aware that the ADDSP46 requires both normal and bass signal from your aftermarket head unit.  Which means Y-adapters from each front channel and each bass channel into the two RCA inputs.

The input max on the ADDSP46 is 2.5v.  You should experiment with volume levels and a DMM to find the max volume for the DSP.

Appreciate the insight Sir, I just checked on the Pioneer website and it says I have 4 volt preouts, is that going to be an issue since the AD DSP has a max of 2.5v? If so how do I get around this?
