I swear you’ve got to be the most helpful non asshole person I’ve ever talked to online <img src="><img src=">

People get condescending sometimes online because they expect somebody to know something and forget when they didn’t know anything on the same matter that they were looking down on the person asking the question. Some people just forget when they were noobs too. Honestly they don’t mean much harm by it, it’s just a common trait that many share. Nobody’s perfect and everybody has things in their life they are dealing with and internet is a lot of people’s retreat and escape from a rough life and some vent in an unhealthy way or manner. So you too have to understand when somebody is being an asshole that they are going through something and hurting inside. Look how I just turned a car audio discussion into some Doctor Drew shit LOL! But most people on this forum are cool and won’t make you feel stupid or shun you because you don’t know something. That’s that caraudio.com shit LOL.

:stupid:“How can we help you?”

Okay well here goes nothing lol wife isn’t gonna like the price to get this to happen but between a car accident settlement and stimulus it’s a small chip compared to some people’s set ups. Thanks again for all the help and knowledge really took me to school dude. Excited to hear how loud it’s gonna be in a extended cab.

You’re welcome dude!

Agreed 💯 I don’t take it personally. It just awesome I decided to finally use this forum. I’ve been following Steve forever on YouTube and it never occurred to me to give this a try. Most forums I read it’s instant bashing on the op and it makes you not wanna ask cuz you know the out come. I seen you’ve got a really good rep on here and it reflects the knowledge for sure.

That’s not a good idea.

If I have 2 amplifiers, one for the subs and one for the door speakers, should I ground them to the same bolt on the frame instead, or do I really need to use 2 different locations? Right now I have the 8g ground and 0g ground (both less than 6" in length) jacked into a distribution block and then thats grounded to the frame by 0g (4" long). I've seen Meade do it on one of his recent videos and thats where I got the idea from..."The $140 Sound System" videos.

Im using Sound Mekanix 2x2 Block, one side for power and one side for ground.

If there’s no ground loop noise then don’t worry about it, you’re fine. It would be stronger grounds if they were separate in separate locations on separate bolts. But if it’s working, then go with it. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. :good:

Hold up, I just read that again. How are you running a positive feed and ground through the same distro block? Am I misunderstanding what you’re saying? Are you using 2 blocks? Is the system hooked up?
