12V71
I have had everything in this system running very well with no issues, Installed the Dayton DSP-408 into it and spent several hours setting it up and then wondering about this noise. It was at no volume with the radio, cd, or from usb It does not discriminate between sources the head unit offers. I took all the rca cables out of the unit and used Y spliters to run to the amps and NO NOISE, as soon as the Dayton was hooked up the noise was back. Cranked the truck and oh my, the alternator noise That i never had before. 1. Disconnected the Power, Ground, and Remote wires. Traced all of them down no problems. Noise still there 2. Cut all connectors to the Dayton, stripped the wire again replaced with new connectors Noise still there 3. Since Dayton provides a 120v AC power supply, I removed the 12v wiring harness and tried that. Noise reduced mostly, still has a small hiss 4. Cranked the Truck No Alternator Noise 5. Turned off the Truck and scratched my head. Had a Beer 6. Turned the radio back on to listen while moving things around. This gets interesting. 1. If you move the Dayton Wiring harness anywhere near the unit it starts to make noise. 2. you can take any rca cable and lay it directly on an amp power wire and it produces no noise What The>>>>
