The wife and I took the girls to the beach. My oldest had never been to a beach, and she'd been asking to go since she saw it on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or something like that. It was fun. Worth it. Ok, back to business. I got all the templates I need (hopefully). These are for the 2 8's that are going to go in the front of the door, behind the glove box (when it's open) and around the handle. these are for the rear two 8's that will sit low on the door, next to the seat. and these are for the 4 tweeters that will sit under the arm rest (unless I find a better place for them) So, next I stacked them all up as close as I could get them and put 2 screws into the center of where the speakers will go to hold them in placeThen getting down to a shit ton of sanding to make them all equal and prettyI didn't get too far along in the sanding. It's about 11 o'clock Sunday night and my old ass needs to get to work tomorrow. 2011 Chevy Silverado under construction My build log here. Check it out! Sanding (especially MDF) has got to be one of my least favorite things to do, but it's so satisfying once you finally finish and the pieces look perfect! Your doors are going to be epic!
