Now that you've gotten started, it's going to be hard to stop! LoL  Can't wait to see once you are in the mockup stage!

This week is going to be pure hell waiting for the time to get started back up. I was in the groove too lol.

There's a lot of work to do though. Make 2 more of those, then 4 of the baffle for the second 2 8's. Figure out what I'm going to do with the tweeters. And figure out what to do with the speaker grill lol. Tons! Then, start mock up, then fiberglass

As of right now, I've also bought 100' of SHCA 4 gauge ofc. It was on clarence at a pretty decent discount. I'm going to use that to feed the 3 mids and highs amps, and as the speaker wire to my subs. The amps I'm currently looking into getting to push the subs excepts 4 gauge for the speakers. The push terminals on the subs I don't think will except 4 gauge (hindsight being 20/20, I should have gotten the upgraded terminals on the subs instead of the stock push terminals) but I'll just have to shave a little of the 4 gauge to make it fit.

I'm still curious if the inputs will even except the 4 awg without having to shave it. I only have looked at 1 of my 4 subs, and even that one hasn't seen the outside of the box in over a year lol

Your gonna have to shave it unless you use some wire reducers if you shave it just push it in all the way so the wire is touching the terminal  my subs didn't even wanna take 2 10g wires I shaved them down a little

So, a little more progress this weekend. Didn't get to work on it quite as much as I would have liked. The wife and I took the girls to the beach. My oldest had never been to a beach, and she'd been asking to go since she saw it on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or something like that. It was fun. Worth it. Ok, back to business.

I got all the templates I need (hopefully).

These are for the 2 8's that are going to go in the front of the door, behind the glove box (when it's open) and around the handle. 20210829_213540.thumb.jpg.8b090f09709c61756c7d74f7b15997c9.jpgthese are for the rear two 8's that will sit low on the door, next to the seat. 20210829_213547.thumb.jpg.f21fdff106846350d19f90cbf58383bd.jpgand these are for the 4 tweeters that will sit under the arm rest (unless I find a better place for them) 20210829_213544.thumb.jpg.33f8be979fe5b624ef0f1d9ec4b18dc3.jpgSo, next I stacked them all up as close as I could get them and put 2 screws into the center of where the speakers will go to hold them in place20210829_221428.thumb.jpg.fd36bbc0ae5ab2082399ca911d82d4bd.jpgThen getting down to a shit ton of sanding to make them all equal and pretty20210829_223209.thumb.jpg.9cc7e81ad5658562b8329d92eeb55baa.jpgI didn't get too far along in the sanding. It's about 11 o'clock Sunday night and my old ass needs to get to work tomorrow.

Coming together!  Sanding (especially MDF) has got to be one of my least favorite things to do, but it's so satisfying once you finally finish and the pieces look perfect!  Your doors are going to be epic!
