98 SNAKE EATER Posted June 5, 2020 Report Share Posted June 5, 2020 Looking to add a little texture to my box build, but also want to colormatch to my 2-tone interior If I coat it with Duratex, will I have any issues painting over it with rattle cans? bmwking Posted June 5, 2020 Report Share Posted June 5, 2020 you want to coat it with duratex to add texture and then paint over it right? as long as the duratex is COMPLETELY cured (like several days rotating it in the hot daytime sun if you dont have a heated paint booth) you should be able to scotch pad scuff it and then paint over it no problem. however, it may just be easier to look into plastic texture spray paint, like this stuff by SEM: https://www.amazon.com/SEM-39853-Texture-Coating-Aerosol/dp/B000PL074S Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
