Several things to tell you about this....

First off, I had my AC cranked, which my 5.4L motor barely feels. Much of that parked in the shade too. So the cab was probably 80 degrees.

Secondly, when I say, right below clipping, I'm talking about "before the very first little blinks of kick drums and such"..... Which I still think is only from fractions of a second voltage dips, and I think that's going to mostly go away when I get my super capicitor bank in the truck soon. I can probably go 3 more clicks on my volume before I start to get any kind of long duration flickering... And I never do that, hot day or not.

Thirdly, in between songs, I was playing with settings and such, trying to learn the new HU. So their were some breaks.

I watch my clip indicator religiously. I have it mounted in front of my face. It was NOT clipping. Period.

Long story short, I'm not tripping. I probably just didn't word that right <img src=">

Also, my amps never dipped (except maybe for those fraction of a second kick drums) 13.8 volts. In fact, with my new alternator it has never dipped below 13.8 no matter how hard I best it. And we know that is good, right ?

I feel you now. What kind of amps though?

My Sub amp is a Wolfram C 2400.1, and my 4 ch amp for my mids / highs, and mid bass is a Skar SKV2-100.4AB

That c 2400.1 is a chinese build. I pretty sure it is because it was one of their budget amps. That skv2 is a Korean build though. It won’t cut out in the heat and extended play. That sub amp will though. Yeah, you need a fan if you want to play for long periods on high tilt in hot weather. Put a couple to several cars fans on that sub amp instead of an inline blower. A inline blower blows hard but is too loud so just use multiple case fans to make up for the fan velocity of the inline blower.

That sucks, as I'm trying not to buy anything else from China.... When I bought it, I thought it was Korean. And their newer stuff is, but the 2400.1 is from China.

Anyway, I'm going to use case fans, in an acrylic shroud. But going to use a digital thermometer too, so I can see the effectiveness of my fans and shroud....

If you really wanna go inline fan without the noise check out AC Infinity products. They have 3 different sized inline fans. This brand specializes in LOW noise level and LOW power consumption. I have the 4" as well as the 6" in my hydroponic room and can definitely vouch for their stealthiness. They also come with a couple different controllers to choose from. The standard is just power level adj 1-10. The other choice has features like auto turn on for temp and other features. Both have about a 15' cord or longer. Never really thought about using one on my amps but what I do know is they are some of the best, quietest inline fans on the market and they are super quite which is why I myself bought em. Only thing is they are 120v so you would need an inverter or something along those lines. With an inline fan also you can divide your air flow from one strong fan to 2-3 amps with some duct splitters if needed. But at the end of the day I'd like to try one of those SMDs, his products are all top notch. Good luck my friend!

Okay. TY. I guess those would work too then. And I bet at the slowest speed, they would be super quiet. And at the highest speed, you would likely be playing so loud, it still wouldn't matter anyway.

But when you think about these PC case fans, what some people call loud, you would barely notice in a quiet room 🙂

Most inline blowers say the same thing to sell their product, they say minimum noise and current draw. They are loud no matter what dude. They just say that to market their products better. The only way to make a loud ass inline blower quietish, or as quiet is it’s gonna get, is to build an enclosure cover to cover the top and sides of the blower to isolate the sound it produces.

Sure..... But I've never heard a case fan so loud it would be a problem in a car. So I ordered a very large 200mm, high flow, at only 700 rpm case fan this morning..... with blue led's... for $13.99, and Amazon free delivery :)

Should be a pretty easy little project to integrate. I'll post pics of it later..... and more importantly, results... as in, before and after temp readings.

To control fan speed you can use a voltage regulator knob in the direct power feed to the fans. If you use computer fans from the early 2000s they are only 3 wires...red: battery +, yellow: switched ignition +, and black for ground. Use a basic 12v regulator knob on the red wire and voila fan speed control at the easiest
