Do you like the sundowns better than the dd’s?

Thats comparing apples to oranges there. The last DDs i had were the very lowest level subs they sell, the 200 series 10" subs, in that case YES, the 12" sundowns were better, BUT i have also used the DD 3512s, and they are much better than the sundown SA series.... It really depends on the series of woofers you choose for each brand. I will say you will get more bang for your buck with sundown. DD is very expensive to get their top of the line woofers. Sundown aint exactly cheap, but compared to DD it is a good bargain.

Ordered an XS Titan8 lithium PWR-S5, the new under hood model.

Received my SounDigital 5K.

Uninstalled the Sundown SFB3k.

  • 2 weeks later...

My enclosure is feeling really empty inside without subs...

Any year now... Monday I'll install the new amp and the lithium. Got it fully charged and ready.

Precharged the lithium and then installed it. Kind of a pain being as though I have a Toyota and the battery terminals are reversed...

Also installed the SounDigital EVO 5K... It's still under the front passenger seat... But going to be a bit more difficult to tune. It was too big to point it to the rear or front of the vehicle. Had install it with the inputs and everything faced towards the middle console. Will have to completely remove the seat again to tune the amp.

But I still don't have any batteries or amps in the rear cargo area... So I'm happy with that.
