ndavis5425
So I built a 14ft ported box with corner braces, 2 window braces in the main cabinet, and a 3/4" threaded rod but I'm still getting so much flex that the top has come off twice. Any suggestions as to how I can improve/increase my bracing?

fishchris1
14 cubes ! Wow, that sounds fun to build 🙂 I don't even need a new enclosure right now. LOVING my 5 cube box for the 18" with two 15" passive radiators.... But I just really enjoy building enclosures. My next will for sure be a 6rh order... Bobby Gately can design it, and I will slap that things together with 1000% confidence 🙂 Oh but anyway, about your enclosure, I would have to think a box with cubes like that is going to have some really big sides on it. I would either have braces all over the darn thing... Or make the whole thing double layered (two x 3/4" MDF) Tell you the truth, for 4 15"s, with good power, I'd probably double layer the whole thing, and still use lots of bracing.
