1point21gigawatts
But you don’t need 0 gauge anything for that amp. Pointless. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
1point21gigawatts
And make sure you ground the battery and amp separate in separate spots on the chassis. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
slowfkncar
Could have simply tried a dmm lol.. If it's not dipping into the low 12's, i would have assumed excess input/output gain or a failing amp. It's fully regulated so you'll get some warmth even at mediocre volumes but getting hot, is another story. Just make sure you don't drill into the floor without looking behind first, That is 100% a fuel tank within centimeters right below that curve. slowfkncar
Oh and if your going to a hardware store anytime soon, just grab yourself some grade 8 zinc plated hardware for bolting up your ground/s, make them tight.
DankMan
@1point21gigawatts I figured I just need 2 more wires for 0 gauge so why not. I don’t get what you mean by grounding the amp to the chassis if the wire hooks up to the amp from the little battery there, sorry I’m a noob.. DankMan
@slowfkncar I tested the ground to the amp and it marked 12.6 but my ground bolt just keeps turning and turning so I’m sure my ground is not fully stable. That amp has never went into thermal mode or anything I just blew the inline fuse when I turned it up and was pretty hot after

MrSkippyJ
why would that make it a longer ground? DankMan
It’s not that easy to go under my car and put a nut on it from the trunk area
