A fellow Yaris owner! These cars are made for bass if you ask me. Looks good! I almost put my batteries where you did. I also got the same battery tie downs as you I love them! Did you do your own doors and mount your own tweeters? Im going to have to shop around for an alternator. I see you have a 300amp. CES told me the largest they could make for my car was 250 amp but it sounds like I should have just shopped around alittle better. Definitley going to be following your log keep us posted!

I do love these tie downs!  My local shop did the doors and A pillar speakers. I didn’t want to spend the money in doing 2 custom A pillars with mid range and tweet. Even though the mids aren’t in an ideal location they still sound good. I couldn’t find anything for 300 amp anywhere except at Quality Power. I emailed Brand X about a 300 amp alternator to have a spare. Looks like they make them. I would contact them. You maybe able to get one built with more than 300. Never hurts to ask.

I will post up my testing results. At the moment half way is pretty loud. Haven’t had the guts to go balls out yet.

The smaller the interior, the louder the vehicle can get based on the same sub. My Solara with a single 12 in a BP4 and 200 watts is louder than my F150 SuperCrew with 2-15's sealed and 1k watts. I have no speakers in the 6x9 holes so the rear window is acting like a horn.

My preliminary SPL tests so far.

Sine Sweep 30hz to 54 Hz

Windows up. Meter on the windshield/dash

Approximately 24 degrees Celsius (75.2 F). Elevation 105 m (344 Ft) RH: Unknown

Left reading is lowest possible sub volume at "max" front stage volume.

Right reading is 1/2 sub volume at "max" front stage volume.

Will do some more testing tomorrow with windows up and increased sub volume.

I'll also do similar testing with windows down. Most likely at a different elevation and temperature but will log them in.
