I would shrink the rear down a bit and go from there....front port should be ok ... .. cabin gain will dictate a lot of where you gain and loose...I have 2 Sundown Nsv4s in a 6th and my loudest port is only 221 Sq in tuned to about 47hz and play all the way up into the mid 60hz range ....( p.s my rear chamber is 13.8 cuft for both subs)

I forgot that the port area per foot went up to 34sq” per. I forgot about that. But I came up with a better port design.

You should shrink the rear section, that would be optimal. For sure. But that would widen your ratio further than kalilac619’s enclosure’s ratio and you have to tune the front higher to maintain a good bandwidth. Either way you would have to tune higher, you could get away with leaving the rear section 8 cubic feet with this front port design I’m about to post. kalilac619’s enclosure is small, even his front port, and so he can get away with having his front section tuned a little lower and still have good bandwidth. I want to say that it could have been designed bigger on a few things like the front section and it’s port but I don’t know the layout of his enclosure so I can’t judge or compare. He shouldn’t be comparing his enclosure to yours either. No offense, kalilac619. 6th order enclosures are so specific and finicky, that each one is so different that just because one persons tuning or sizing or whatever works on their setup doesn’t mean that it would work in conjunction with another person’s enclosure or cabin area.

I’ve been wondering about your enclosure for awhile now ever since you helped me on capacitors. What’s the rear tuned to and how many square inches is the rear port? I remember the ratio of your enclosure is around 1:1.3, but what’s the net volume of the front section? Because I don’t remember the exact ratio to do the math correctly.

net volume- 12.51 cu. ft. 
tuning- 52.08hz

port area per cu. ft.- 23.92sq”

ratio- 1:1.56375

Sometimes I just say fugh it and don’t exert myself mentally or physically on things because of certain variables but when I dedicate myself to doing something or solving something or any task, I do so and complete and fugh it turns to fight it.

And once you fix your port, it is a good idea to shrink the rear section of your enclosure at least 1 cu. ft. I would shrink it to about 6 cu. ft. but recommended ported enclosure sizing works. But once the ratio on any band pass enclosure widens then the bandwidth narrows. Remember that.

Sometimes adversity is the best teacher, even if it's self inflicted. It's all about the drive to learn more

 

You probably have, but have you read @Triticum Agricolam 's thread on experiments he's done on series 6th order bandpass' and how they effect each other? It's pinned in the enclosures sub category. I read it a while ago and though it was pretty interesting

Rear chamber is 15 cuft Net tuned to 23hz with a 10in aero port(Big ass port) but has been shrunk to 13.9....front chamber is 22 cuft net...but has been shrunk to 19 cuft net....I’ve had it since 2016 and have swapped rear ports sizes and tunings 9-10 times and front port about 15 times ranging from as large as 400sq in to as small as 169 sq in to get it dialed in to what it is today....does a 155+ from 18hz -58hz with its peak in the 30s(158.5@ 34hz) usable 150+ db bandwidth is 16hz-63hz
