Lilriver420
Ive got a skar evl 18 Dvc 4 ohm in a custom designed box tuned for 32hz powered by a skar rp2000 watt amp and a pioneer fh-s722bs headunit. The amp bass boost is on 0, gain half way, subsonic filter set close to 32hz. The headunits setting are untouched other than the crossover and slope for sub. When the crossover is set to anything above 31.5 hz and volume is way up the sub makes an awful noise on the higher frequency notes. Set to 31.5 hz it plays the lows like a champ though. Maybe someone can help me figure out where im going wrong.
LT.Smoke
What frequencies are you trying to hit with the sub? 32 hz tuning will probably roll off at 55-60hz and anything above that let the mids do their job Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌
Lilriver420
60 hz would be fine with me. Im just missing those higher bass notes in a lot of songs and dont sound right. My hu only has 63hz option but that should be fine. When you say roll off at 60-55hz what exactly do you mean? Setting the lpf to that range? Lilriver420
the box is 4.5 cu ft. Would maybe inverting the sub help? another thing is how do you determine which slope is best for the sub when set at 63hz? Or if it was set too 31.5hz?
