Jeremy009
hey guys. Am concidering buying a 12" dual 2 sub but i cant decide on which is best for the money. My budget is $200-300 and i plan on tuning 35hz in a 2.25cube box for a 1000-1200rms sub. Looking at the dd712d, resilient sounds gold 12", american bass xfl 12" or any other recommendations. I want a sub that will "like" that 35hz tune and give that loud deep bass. Whats a good sub, terms of build quality and achieving what am looking for. Jeremy009
Its better than the others?
1point21gigawatts
The xfl would do better than both them other subwoofers at 35hz. Them other subwoofers are better in a lower tuned enclosure. So for what you want, the xfl is better than the other subwoofers you listed. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
Jeremy009
Great thanks. Are there any other sub recommendations that may be better built than the xfl around 1000rms for what i want to accomplish? I dont mind adding a bit extra cash. It will be powered with a dd m1d, 1700rms at 1ohm
1point21gigawatts
An xfl is ideal to use in the enclosure you have described. If that enclosure you described is already built or if you are set on that sizing and tuning, then that xfl would be the way to go. No need in worrying yourself with anymore options when you have already came up with a super ideal option. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
Jeremy009
Great. Any idea of what size spiders that xfl use in that basket? It looks a bit bigger than the average 8"
