TrizzyWise
Alright, ive been trying to find a solid answer all over forum's,maybe I'm not looking up the right question or im over thinking it so. I want to put -(2 amps on 1 dual, 2ohm sub) -Amps do not have link option, and are able to operate 1 ohm regularly Amps show 2 rca female inputs -Top labeled: input -Bottom labeled: output My headunit, has one set of rca pre sub outs,(will upgrade eventually.) Will a regular female to male splitter work for the input, and output to get signal to my amplifiers. What i do know or think i know - both amps must be same -speaker output level must be matched -wire both amps to each Voice Coil. (But with 1ohm,2ohm, or 4ohm subwoofer dual coil) - both amps (+ to +) and (- to -). To set match gain i will be doing the *Barevids method* -gain match amps to output level (example 35.3v) or whatever ill be doing with ocsope just below clipping or close to common output voltage. -wire amps + to + - to - - low volume, low power, start 20hz tone Just until some vibrations come out of the speakers. (Again very low power, only to feel movement) Go to 1 of the amps, flip polarity on 1 voice coil, again stil that very very low power. -Adjust gain on that same up until minimal vibrations are felt. -then adjust phase, until NO vibrations are felt at all. -STOP TONE, flip back to regular polarity. And amps are matched. Questions: 1) how do i get signal to both amps (rca) 2) do i get more power?, if both amps are working the 1ohm impedance. Or if because this isnt strapping ig, on a (dual 2ohm sub, 2 amps) they'll work the 2 ohm? because their wired to each coil independently? *Or does the impedance still get cut in half wiring this way. 1 amp 1 coil (+ to +) and (- to -) Other amp, other coil of the same sub (+ to +) (- to -). On a dual 2ohm sub. -If i dont get more power with a 2 ohm subwoofer, how could i get more power to a single sub with (2 amps on 1) vs (1 on 1) -i deeply apologize for the length of this.. Just making sure i get good answers, and also dont get any wasted information for people later on like me trying to find this answer. Equipment i plan to use because of want and budget. 2 O-2400.1 wolfram amplifiers 1 ZVX15 d2 I know ill be told 1 2400 is enough. Buuut That's not what im here for. Thank you for your time, and consideration for reading this much love, and thank you to all bassheads. -Ps. High output alternator is already on the way. 1 o-2400 is already ordered
