Jeremy009
Hey guys, just need a bit of clarity on this. Let's say we have a taramps smart 3. And you set the gain wired to 1ohm. The you use a sub wired to 4 ohm do you have to set the gain over or vice versa? Ie. Does setting the gain at any point, it be 1,2,4 etc, will it be that same set point if you choose to change your set up? Am asking because I got a single sub wired to 4ohm in a box when I need space on the trunk. And when I want to go crazy, I have a double 12" wired to 1ohm. Will the gain setting need changing? And if not, which ohm load is best to set it at? The 1 or 4? And do I do this with the subs connected or without
Dafaseles
You don't have to adjust it because the gain, in the simplest way to describe it, is just there to match the output voltage of your head unit. Really doesn't matter about what sub/ subs you're running. 1 ohm, 2 ohm, 4 ohm, turn the gain up to much, it's going to clip 2011 Chevy Silverado under construction My build log here. Check it out!
