Bakerman
Okay. I have 3 Skar VD-8 subwoofers going in the wifes build. I put in one, in a sealed box, and didn't like it. Long story short, I ordered another pair and I am going with three in a ported box. I've always done large air movers, and done tuning LOW... Like 32hz and lower. The manufacturers website suggests tuning of 41hz. However, I do have the room to tune down to 32hz and still have ample airspace for all 3 subs. However, I am a few cu/in short on port area, but this isn't a HUGE issue to me. I've done less with manageable results. I guess, my question is, those of you with experience in higher tuning. Would it be better to get louder response at a higher tuning, or should I go for the low tuning I'm used to?
