Bigbrad
Happy to have found this place. I am building a system for my bmw convertible. Absolutely no trunk space for subs so I took out my back seat and am installing 4 10in skar audio svr d2s. I have 6 ft internal volume. 1.5 per woofer. I have ported the enclosure with 2@4in ports at 3.5in length for tuning it to 38hz like skar recommends. Power will come from a skar rp3500 1d. Looking for educated opinions. I put my ports on the face of the box with the woofers. I have been told several things about loading the ports and also the woofers. Should the ports be on the side of the box firing at the side panels or leave them? Also was told to turn the woofers around to the rear and fire them at the solid seat back that is 3/4 mdf that has about a 4 inch wide gap to get better response in the open air. Any help would be great. I want it loud and accurate. Also. The 8s are pioneer power series as mids and also will have 2 6.5 pioneer power with the 4in pioneer horn tweeters.
