Hold up. Holy tits, i had no idea, the dash area, was sooo fucking large. Everyone on here, knows, space is ALWAYS a premium.  Dropping a 1" dome tweet (no matter how nice) just seems bad mojo to me. Ill run the driver side wires and think about it.

I think, a nice 3.5" coax, maybe hertz would live there wicked happy. Maybe put the tweet, bye its own satori mid in the door panel or something. Hmmmm

Set up. It will go under the pass side seat.

And just a quick see, if shits working , or turning on. Neat thing, is the 408 has a remote out also. And, it actually works. So, the key'd i ran, to the dsp, and the dsp turn on, to the damore board. Gigggty...

Why im soooo stuck on the dash. The dash, location has a fuck ton of room, and putting the 1" dome scanspeak in there, ... just hurts my brain. It is just , everything i havent done. Space, space space. Room room room,.. if you feel me.

Our left, to right.

Even tho, one scanspeak tweet, cost more than the Hertz coax pair, i think, i may go with the Hertz in that location.  God, i dont know.

OEM tweeter, and bracket, Hertz 87.3, Scanspeak, mounted in the OEM bracket.

The hertz fits just fine,.. hell, if i took about 6 seconds, and wanted to even care to use the OEM bracket, some simple metal removal would allow it to fit. Or, just mount it as is with one fastner, and call it beyond good, either way.......

i dont know what to do atm........ i may go with the Hertz. Find a spot for the tweets later, or put em in a bookshelf enclosure I am also working on. Dunno. Lets get it playing ... amps, dsp and shit wired/powered,... and hook up the runs of speaker wire i ran. Then, maybe ill plop both sets in, and run around for a week, and choose.

Cheers all.

(Also, did anyone else see the 1000.1 board Tony DaMore dropped today? I wanted two.......

but only bought one,.... for now ;)  Fucker has already shipped. :)

Again, cheers all.

4 connections away from it playing. Dsp, amp, are all in, with mids and tweet wires hooked up. Ill finish tomorrow. Left the dsp dongle hangin out, so i can put thw laptop to is. 😀😃

(And i did go with the 3.5" coax instead of the Scanspeak)

Got some time in, listening to this set up, driving to and from work. This,.. already, is the best sounding front stage I've done to date. Granted, most of the other builds/rigs ive been involved with/built, where ment for the loud/mic/competition. Still, the Satori's, are fucking awesome, and the dash coax drivers were a wicked nice surprise.

To start, the dash speakers where cut at 1k hp, 18k lp at a sharp 24db slope. Mids at 200 hp,2k, just to be safe.  Source and 408 all flat. Nothing boosted, nothing cut.

Since, the dash are at 160-17500, and the mids (no bullshit) 55-900. Everything still flat. The Satori's dig down great, and the 47lbs of Secons skin, is doing its job.

Time alignment, is actually being done on my HU/Source, and the shit actually works good. I can put on some of my OG sq tunes, (Dire Straights, and the like) and i can move the vocals, across the dash, left to right playin with the TA. Neat...

Next day off shift, and I'll get the laptop with the U-MIK running and do some plotting/graphs.

The shitty,.. months ago, i ran sweeps in the 4runner, with everything but the HU stock/oem. I wanted to show differences from oem, to gear being in. Welp, i lost ever fucking one of those pics. Was a while ago, when i very first got the UMIK and REW software. I used it to learn on. Bummer... anyway, i am now,  SUPER happy with the purchases/gear.

Also, maybe time for some low end. 😉

Just 2 12s im thinking. Like a couple Fi Xv3's. Nothing special. I am over that upper level shit.

Cheers all
