Togo678
I have a skar skv2 3500.1d. I was attempting to set the gains on my amps with an oscilloscope. Everything was fine mids/highs amp set perfect but when it came to the mono amp the output was all over the place and a buzzing, poping, electrical arking sound was coming from behind the gain adjuster. This amp will not output a clean sine wave no matter what i do. Any ideas?
liteblue
I have skv2 3500.1, it is sensitive to ground loops/noise. Popping and electrical arking sounds behind the pots is not normal. Have you opened it up to check for loose junk? With power off turn the knobs through full range of movement, all the way up and down a few times. maybe there is some junk behind them. as far as not a clean sign wave, that is a result of cheap oscope not knowing what frequency to auto focus. Barevids made a video about this after emf made a video about skar amps and clean power. very informative stuff. Buzzing sound is typical coil whine of inductors, and it normally means amp is turned up to loud.
