help with box for 2 Sundown SA12 V2

Sa subwoofer are a good choice. A taramps smart 3 would do well on them subwoofers. I’ve seen multiple amm1 readings on that amp and it would be a good amp on them subwoofers at 1 ohm on that enclosure you designed.

and just to be clear the second box with the 4" port and 4cuft? or the first one with the 3" port and slightly smaller cuft?

The second enclosure.

One more question, what type of head unit do you have? I only ask because taramps like to be around 2v preouts and you would have to tune around a 2v tilt on the tone level you listen to. Do you have a dmm and some alligator clips to go on the lead prongs?

Do you ever plan on upgrading that amp to not be underpowering them subwoofers? If so, then that design is good. But if not, then you need to go bigger, like 4.75 cubic foot net and 4.25” of port width. Jacob (ceo and founder of sundown) says SA subwoofers love around 12sq” of port per cube.

Thanks for that tidbit on SA specific ports 👍🏽
