stingray72
I have a regular sealed lead acid battery. Can I run that with the lithium battery or should i remove it? Also is 150 ah of lithium battery enough to burp on an 8k with minimal voltage drop? Ill have a 350 amp alternator on the way.
Dafaseles
Don't run the lithium and lead acid together. That's a lot of lithium AH, I think you'd be good burping on that. Maybe think about another alternator to be in the safe side 2011 Chevy Silverado under construction My build log here. Check it out!
stingray72
I cant run dual alternators i only have a 1.6 liter motor in a 2019 nissan versa sv.....did you mean safe side to protect the battery for some reason?
Dafaseles
No, I just meant to combat voltage drop at idle during a burp. The more alternator power, the better. If the alternator can't keep up with the amplifiers draw on the batteries reserve, it'll drop. 150 ah of lithium is quite a bit though. And 350 amps of alternator to feed it is a lot too. It's just what is that alternator putting out hot and at idle. Is that going to be enough to burp on and not drop the voltage. It's definitely worth testing out. 2011 Chevy Silverado under construction My build log here. Check it out!

1point21gigawatts
You would be solid on voltage. Even on idle rpm. Delete that lead acid battery and bass on. Question. What type of lithium are you talking about? “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”

1point21gigawatts
On a good alternator you could put 2 8ks and be straight lol, you don’t need that much lithium if you have a good alternator. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
