stingray72
i only have 31 inches across and I ordered an fi sp4 v2.1 18 and i found a 10 inch aero from big a$$ ports and the port has a 15.25 inch flare. How can i make this fit? Its going in a 2019 nissan versa sv sedan with a taramps smart 3k. Im building the box in the trunk and am going to seal off the front to keep the pressure in the cab. stingray72
I think i figured it out. I can make the port stick out of the box some and have the flare go over the subwoofer a bit. Do you think the port would break from the subwoofers impact? Or i can build the box further out of the trunk to where i wouldnt be able to put the back seats back up. caraudionoob
If you're considering having the port extending into the cabin where the seats can't be put up, then why not consider taking out the back seats out completely and just go all out and wall it? 1point21gigawatts
Where did you find a 10” big ass port? “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
1point21gigawatts
One 10” aero port isn’t enough port area since you have to make that enclosure big, 2 8” aero ports would be the way to go on a single 18” enclosure if 7-8 cubic foot net volume. But if 5-6 cubic foot net volume then that single 10” aero port is a better port area. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
stingray72
according to winisd a regular 10 inch port not an aero would be just under 33 ms at 34 hz which is where id tune the enclosure. So a 10 inch aero would work id think. The enclosure would be 7 cf net.

1point21gigawatts
Buy 2 8” aero ports. That 14sq” of port per cube vs 1 10” aero port which is a tad more than 11sq” of port per cube. 2 8” would be so much louder. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
