New build is having an issue and I can't seem to troubleshoot it

Lol well sounds like u deserve an upgrade my double din is only like 350 or something at best buy

So I havent done any of the big 3 or other upgrades but I followed a video on how to set gains with the DMM and with following that perfectly, setting vol to 3/4, all eq and settings flat and off and dmm leads in speaker outputs on amp. With a 40 hz tone and the gain all the way up it only got to 12 volts. I need 31ish. I think the line booster is a must. As well as the other things.

Just a new headunit is all u need u wasn't measuring something right

Yea your not measuring your voltage right either u have to measure the speaker terminal on the amp

That is what I did. Sorry if I didnt state it clearly. I didn't put in the speaker wire to the sub and put the leads in the amp speaker terminals. Also, I am seeing that the RCA preouts on these new headunits are also 2V...
