killerc998
Ya its on the smaller side. The new i series are 500 rms and min is 1.5 cubes per sub, recommended is 2 per sub. Since these are 300 rms i figure its 1.35/1.4 on small size. Im actually thinking the box will be about 7.5 after displacement. Subs will be slightly overpowered, so a lil small should work. Subs will be here friday.
killerc998
So doing some more math, box is 9.8 gross, 7.5 net with 116.25 square inch of port. Only question i got is on the port. I got plenty of sq in, its however 46.5x2.5. With the subs calling for a min of 22 sq in and im well above that, do yall think the narrow height will be an issue. The port m/s is around 15 by win isd.
Never Enough Bass
The port is gonna be as tall as your box by 2.5in wide and 46.5in long if that's what winsld calculated it should be good I thing it should graph your air speed and everything 06 Charger Pioneer double din Pioneer 6.5 and 6×9's Knukoncept Krystal kable rca's 0 ga knukoncept kolossus wire Big 3 same wire ^ 1 run 8g karma ss speaker wire Sundown sia 3500d at 1ohm 2 Sundown U series 12's Duralast platinum agm H7 (Main) Xs power d3400 Trying to find a ho alt
killerc998
Winisd showed air speed under 20ms but if you add a generic parameter to mimic a car it shoots it above 35 ms. Should i make the ms below 20 with the car parameter or just aim for 20 ms. This is going to be a musical box not a spl. Im going to keep it to 33/36 hrz. I could keep the box as is, but i like building boxes that are ideal.
killerc998
So box ended up being 9.88932 gross, 7.7 net tuned to 35 hrz. Port is 7.5"x15", .75" external port that will be half rounded off. Internal port will be rounded.

killerc998
Thought this was an interesting picture. Was test fitting width. Port has been round over rounded the port sides, now time to glue the rest of the box together.
