Markous
Seems to me that these would be alot more popular in this hobby, thinking of grabbing one to monitor the 180AH of lithium i'm going to have in the next setup. Victron Smartshunt Thoughts? SnowDrifter
It's interesting, but I think realistically, it offers nothing to our hobby. Current draw requirements are known. Current supply capacity is known. Wiring gauge is chosen accordingly. Everything's fused accordingly. The ultimate measure of the electrical system's performance is going to be voltage. Being able to measure instantaneous current draw won't offer anything of use. 'Yep I'm drawing 300 amps, voltage is still good' That could be useful for diagnostics and testing, but I don't reckon it would give you anything in day-to-day Edited March 17 by SnowDrifter Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Markous
One of the big selling points for me is being able to set a depth of discharge alert. With the flatter discharge curve of lithium and my inexperience with the chemistry i'm looking at it as protection from my potential stupidity, LOL! SnowDrifter
LOL that's a fair concern Honestly I think we've all been trained to look at voltage for our needs. Good voltage - no problem. Low voltage - problem. Which chemistry are you looking at? li-ion comes in a couple different flavors Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

02Blazer
rhose batteries are really not for car audio but for rv's, trolling motors, etc. says 80 amps max charge , you would of been way better off building a bank of Headway 38120 hp's Edited March 19 by 02Blazer Quote BAGGED AND BODYDROPPED , DRAGGED TILL THERE'S NOTHIN LEFT ......
