Zilla the Hun
Hey guys, I'm struggling to get the most out of my subs. I've got a pair of Crossfire c5v3 12d4 800rms running on a 1600 watt mono d amp I've been in the woodworking field for nearly 20 years and have built 4 different boxes based on info I've found online and I feel like I'm missing something. my current box is 36x14.5x21 with a 3" wide slot port in the center 17 inches long T/S parameters: FS: 35hz QTS: 0.51 QMS: 5.64 QES: 0.53 MMS: 285g Bl: 27.1 SPL 1W/M: 86.8dB Xmax: 24mm Vas: 27.3L That is all the information Crossfire offers They are in a 2019 Challenger. Max space is 36.5x14.75x22.5 I've pulled the backrest of the backseats out of the car, so would it be best to have subs firing forwards towards the driver or towards the trunk? I whole heartedly appreciate any help offered
Kyblack76
Most of the time, rear fire is louder in trunk builds, unless you completely, and I mean completely seal it off. Which rarely happens correctly. Running C5’s myself. 15s here. In a 7 cube enclosure. (Gately) on a damore 1500 at .5. I think the 12s ask for 1.75 per. So 3 cubes after everything. You may wanna double check your vent/vent area. Look at the cross fire web site, and not down for sound or whatever. I’d tune it a bit lower also, but that’s me, and what I did. Not sure what’s up with hours, but mine pound. Never get hot, have great mechanical control, dig deep, and sound great. Greatly impressed with such a cheap driver. Glad I got them on a few friends recommendations that are on team Xfire. Not loud enough? No sound quality? Not low enough? Anyways, what is the amp model, what is your electrical, do you have upgrades? etc. Some pics of your system?
