Thank you for the explanation. I took a break because I got frusterated and started making mistakes. I'm considering other options now after a lot of reading. I'd like to save some space and it would surely simplify things if I just did a sealed box. I've been checking out the SSA Demon. I could do 2 10's and keep the box fairly shallow. I guess my goal is to be louder than the older 500w type r I was running in a ported box that was probably too small because I built it to Alpines "recommended box specs".
