Set sub amp gain with a lab scope using a 60 hz test tone and set it to a clean A/C sine wave ... Then used a 30 hz tone and got clipping at same gain setting.. Question here is , is this considered normal or is there a problem with the amplifier? I havent seen anyone explain this before and very curious as i like to listen to regular music of all genres but also like the rebassed stuff that plays alot lower..Also did set the HU gain into the sub amp so the signal is not clipped.. If it matters im running 2 EVL 15s in a custom enclosure powered by a hifonics bxx4000, the subs are DVC 4ohm wired to 1 ohm and gains are set for 2400 RMS for the 2 subs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Is that hifonics board the cleanest? doubt it, ... does it need to be,... nerp.
