I have a dq-61 installed in my 2015 civic si    been that way for years but am looking to get a taramps Smart bass 5k but I'm worried about the rca voltage being over 2-2.5V.  iv heard they start to put out a bad clipped signal and possibly cook the amp, I went out and test ac current on my sub output rca's and can't get more than 2volts but manual says it does 7.5Vrms.   does anyone have any experiance with this.  like is it 7.5Vrms between F/R and Sub channel or what?

7.5 volts rms per RCA output. So you can dial down the output to match the amp's max input voltage and you are clean !

Now just know that if you raise anything on the EQ, you will have to go back and check the output voltage.

Also, do those measurements with max clean output of the headunit.
