Multiple Amps Or Accesories On Remote Lead

Recommended Posts

i found one on parts express or somewhere too, but a comment left at the bottom of the page said the diode was faceing the wrong way for a car amp remote and had to be flipped. thats even more work than putting your own on!

I didn't see any on Parts Express with the diode built in, I think that they did have a connector for a relay that had the diode on it, but it was wired all wrong.

autozone sells a battery terminal ring that accepts 4 spade connectors as well, and you could by pass the relay all together

I'm not understanding what your saying. If you run it straight from the battery with no relay then all your amps and accessories will always be on.

thanks for the info, roscoe1129 & snafu.

i recently acquired a new alt and installed it myself. i had some fluctuation, so i was recommended to use a relay. this thread helped out immensely and my car's headlights now do not flicker.

So do I need to use a relay for multiple amps?

How many amps do you have to turn on?
