CC-1 question when using passive crossovers

Recommended Posts

I am ready to start tuning my amps but have a question about setting the crossover on the amp.  I will be using the CC-1 to set everything.  Running a Salt 200.2 to Focal mids/tweeters.  The front speakers came with passive crossovers.  Just curious if there is any need in setting the crossover on the amp since I am using passive crossovers...leave the amp X/O on full???  And let the passive X/O do all the work?  Or do I set the HPF according to the specs of the speakers?  This is my first build since 1990...so go easy on me.  LOL

Most component set passive crossovers don’t include a high pass for the midwoofer. I would check to make sure but it’s likely you need to high pass the amp’s output.
