Derrick824
Someone at work wants me to install a HU in their Explorer. Are there any special pieces needed to do this besides the obvious dash kit and wiring harness? She said she has a factory cd changer. I'm not sure how that's going to work. Help please. bangin_explorer
it all depends if she has the factory amp and everything also.. if she does have the "premium sound" then there is a harness you need for that. not sure bout the cd changer cause i didnt have one of them. X2! What's the brand of that changer? You should be able to get an adapter for that changer to use with the HU, if the HU can accept a changer connection! Also maybe a FM modulator! Derrick824
Thanks fellas. This vehicle is sounding more complicated than I want to deal with.
kylecm85
its really not a hard vehicle if it has the amp they make a bypass harness for it and sometimes they have a standard harness with rca ends on it that just plug in the front and rear outputs. you dont need anything special except the standard ford keys to take the radio out. if u have any other questions just let me know.
