That would work, I would ditch the cap for a nice secondary battery. I think caps are a huge waster of money. That shouldn't be 5k, though. I am only coming up with about $2-2.5k worth of stuff there, and that is grossly overpricing evreything.

My System:

Pioneer AVH-P3200BT

4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors)

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

2-18" BTL's (for now)

Crescendo 3kwp (for sale)

Complete rebuild coming soon...

5000 ??????????? lolllllllllllllllllllllllll omg...if I had that kind of budget I'd have 2 18's with the perfect rms to them...they would outslam his x60...but I mean your box is a big deal too...if you can't make a box for 2 18's the 15 is a good idea..

You misread.

That's what his buddy has and he wants to be louder than that.

For $5k.

You can look at 2 18" DC LV5's. $1300

Sundown 3k $1520 for a refurbs.

Wood, Misc box building materials, $80.

Really Nice Head unit $500 (I Mean REALLY NICE.)

Wire, fuses,RCA's Etc. $60.

That still leaves you with $1500.

I Like that plan you'll really outdo your friend with this.what car you got anyways so we can give you a plan...

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

Ausfalia ftw dude, Townsville 4811 bloke here.

Statesman huh? Can fit a lot in a statesman. I will put my vote to a pair of well done fifteen inch woofers with solid amplification, a well done head unit install, Focal front end (most focal's seem to fit well into the Holden door panels strangely enough, almost made to fit.) Loud and clear is the key my friend.
